Ms. Kathryn Coulter joined the CHSS Data Center in May 2015 as Clinical Research Associate II. Kathryn is a graduate of Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, and has over 20 years experience in the clinical research/ trials field, including involvement in study coordination, project management, clinical quality control, and clinical quality assurance/compliance as well as research ethics coordination activities. She has experience in several therapeutic areas and in all phases of clinical study drug development, experience in clinical trials with drugs, biologics, natural health products and medical devices, experience in retrospective and observational research studies, and has worked in the research institute/hospital setting as well as at the contract research organization, clinic setting. She is very familiar with clinical research methodology and processes, data management and current applicable regulations, guidelines and standards governing clinical research. Throughout her career, Kathryn has been a strong advocate for training/education and quality improvement measures to ensure the implementation and further enhancement of best practices, and further to ensure clinical research integrity and research participant protection. She is also a published poet and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
