Each year, thousands of surgeries are performed on children born with heart conditions. The Congenital Heart Surgeons' Society (CHSS) Data Center is dedicated to research to find better treatment for children with congenital heart disease.

 Current Kirklin/Ashburn Fellow

 

Dr. Anusha Jegatheeswaran is the 5th John W. Kirklin/David A. Ashburn Fellow in the CHSS Data Center, and began her tenure with us in July 2008. Anusha completed her Honours BSc. at the University of Toronto, with a specialist degree in Human Biology. She then earned her medical degree from McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario) in 2005. Read more... 

Statistical Consultant

Dr. Brian McCrindle is a Co-Director/Statistical Consultant for the CHSS Data Center and is a Cardiologist at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.  He obtained his BMedSc, MD at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada and continued to complete his FRCPC, MPH from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Christopher Caldarone is a staff cardiovascular surgeon at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He also participates extensively in day-to-day operations of the Congenital Heart Surgeons Society Data Center with Dr. Bill Williams.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from John Hopkins University in Maryland and continued to complete his M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City.
